According to Sinopec, China's first set of domestically-produced solution phase polyolefin elastomer industrialization plant has entered the trial operation stage in Tianjin. The related production technology has made original breakthroughs, which will effectively alleviate China's dependence on imports of this material in strategic emerging industries such as photovoltaics. Polyolefin elastomer is a high-end material with unique performance, combining the processability of plastics and the high elasticity of rubber. It is a key basic material for producing flexible materials for mobile phone cases, encapsulation films for photovoltaic modules, and lightweight components for new energy vehicles.
