Guangdong Province will host the 2026 Spring Tea Conference in Macau to seek cooperation between Guangdong and Macau.

The Spring Tea event of Guangdong Province in 2026 was held in Macau Tower on the evening of the 20th. Friends from Guangdong and Macau gathered at the Pearl River Estuary to reunite, exchange friendship, and seek cooperation. Macau SAR Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng said in his speech that the SAR government will actively align with the national development strategy, promote deeper and more solid cooperation between Guangdong and Macau, and better serve the overall national development. Ho Iat Seng stated that in the past year, fruitful results have been achieved in Guangdong-Macau cooperation, with new outstanding achievements in important areas such as economy, trade, finance, and technology. The high-quality construction of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau cooperation zone is the core task of Guangdong-Macau cooperation in the new situation. Both Guangdong and Macau will strengthen unity and cooperation, work hand in hand to implement the central strategic deployment, vigorously reform, concentrate efforts, and strive to create a new situation in the construction of the cooperation zone. Wang Xi, member of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, stated that this year marks the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the launch of the "35" Plan in Macau. Guangdong will firmly adhere to the principles of "one country, two systems", promote deep coordination and connection between the five-year plan of Guangdong and Macau, accelerate the construction of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau cooperation zone, strongly support Macau in promoting moderately diversified economic development, and jointly write a new chapter in the practice of "one country, two systems."
