Prominent Japanese car company welcomes its first Chinese general manager.
On March 20, Nissan announced a senior management adjustment and appointment in the China region. Former Nissan China General Manager and Senior Adviser Liu Xinyu will serve as the new Nissan China General Manager, reporting directly to the Nissan Global Executive Committee Member and China Region Chairman, as well as the President of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Ma Zhixin. This appointment will take effect on April 1, 2026. With over 20 years since its establishment, Nissan China welcomes its first Chinese General Manager. Official data shows that Nissan China's sales reached 1.564 million vehicles in 2018, but since 2019, the company's sales have been declining for 7 years in a row. In 2025, Nissan China's sales were 653,000 vehicles, a decrease of 6.26% year-on-year.
