IEA: Restoring oil and gas supplies in the Gulf region may take up to six months.
The Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Birol, stated in an interview that it may take up to six months to restore oil and natural gas supplies in the Gulf region. He also said that the world is facing what could be the most serious energy crisis in history. He said, "For some facilities, it will take six months to reach an operational state, while others will take even longer." Birol stated that politicians and markets have underestimated the scale of this supply disruption, with approximately one-fifth of global oil and gas supply being trapped in the region.
