Beijing announces 122 future industry segmentation tasks: accelerate the integration development and scenario landing around smart mobility, humanoid robots, atomic-level manufacturing, and other fields.
At the Beijing Future Industry Development Press Conference held today, Li Hui, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, introduced that Beijing ranks second globally in the Future Industry Development Index in 2025. Over the past year, Beijing has launched 21 globally pioneering new technologies and products, such as the open 6G multimodal fusion experiment platform and the engineering-level liquid hydrogen heavy truck. In order to accelerate the cultivation and growth of future industries, Beijing has formulated the "Beijing Future Industry 2026 Work Plan" focusing on key technological breakthroughs, new product development, and has implemented 122 detailed tasks in 6 areas. In future manufacturing, efforts are being made to accelerate the integration and implementation of smart travel, humanoid robots, atomic-level manufacturing and other fields. Key focuses include: building a smart travel system that integrates safety and controllability in the vehicle and city; accelerating the research of core components and independent chips for humanoid robots, promoting cross-domain scenario-based applications, and continuously creating high-level events such as the "Two Conferences and One Competition"; and accelerating the research of atomic-level manufacturing technology.
