On March 20th, the annual meeting and standard achievement ceremony of the Exchange Standard Innovation Consortium 2026, hosted by CATL and organized by Time Electric Service, was held in Xiamen, Fujian. The event officially introduced the first domestic standard for the interchangeability of battery swapping systems "Technical Requirements for Interchangeability of Bolt-type Battery Swapping Systems for Pure Electric Passenger Vehicles". The standard was jointly developed by CATL, the China Automotive Engineering Society, several mainstream car manufacturers, and battery swapping equipment suppliers. It specifies the universal and interchangeable technical requirements for bolt-type battery swapping systems for pure electric vehicles, achieving a unified standard for mechanical connections, electrical interfaces, communication protocols, and other aspects between standard battery packs, swapping vehicles, and swapping stations for the first time.
