On the 19th local time, Dmitry Peskov, special representative of the Russian President, wrote on social media that the EU is set to face a significant increase in oil and natural gas prices. The reason for this is that some EU officials continue to pursue an anti-Russia policy and refuse to accept reliable and affordable energy supplies from Russia. As the situation in the Middle East continues to escalate, the blockage of shipping in the Hormuz Strait has led to an increased energy supply risk, causing international oil and gas prices to rise sharply in recent times. Hungarian Prime Minister Orban has repeatedly called on the EU to re-evaluate and temporarily suspend sanctions on Russian energy. Recently, Belgian Prime Minister De Wever also stated that the EU should restore its relations with Russia in order to regain access to Russian energy.
