Unilever has confirmed that it is in negotiations regarding the proposal to acquire its food business by Meihao Food.

On March 20, it was reported that Unilever is in talks with the American seasoning manufacturer McCormick to merge its food business. Unilever responded that its board of directors believes the food business is very attractive, with market-leading brands in growing categories, a strong financial position, and they have confidence in the food business as part of Unilever's business. Unilever confirmed that they have received a takeover offer for their food business and are currently in discussions with McCormick. It is still uncertain whether any deal will be reached.
