Domestically produced large cruise ship "Aida Huacheng" is launched, with overall progress exceeding 94%, scheduled to be delivered in November.

On March 20, the second domestically produced large cruise ship, "Aida Huacheng", was launched at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. under China State Shipbuilding Corporation. The ship will now enter the dock testing phase. The launch, also known as floating out, is an important milestone in shipbuilding, where the almost completed ship is floated in the dock and guided out to the dock, where it will be moored. So far, the overall progress of the "Aida Huacheng" project has exceeded 94%, with interior completion at 81.9%, testing at 68.3%, and public areas, cabins pre-checks, and key systems external inspections all ahead of schedule. Compared to the first ship, the overall construction efficiency of the "Aida Huacheng" has improved by 20%, and it is planned for delivery in November 2026.
