According to Xiaomi car news, the new generation SU7 door handle safety design is 100% compliant with the new national standard for 2027. It has a triple safety redundancy design: after a collision, the exterior mechanical door handle will automatically unlock for emergency door opening from the outside; the door lock has a redundant backup power supply which allows for normal unlocking after a collision; and an interior emergency mechanical door handle that can be used to open the door without the need to unlock from the inside.
