China Securities Association releases "Competency Model Series for Key Positions in Securities Companies"

The China Securities Association recently released the "Securities Company Key Position Capability Quality Model Series" for industry reference and use. The model focuses on the characteristics of the investment consultant positions under the background of wealth management transformation, systematically analyzing the position responsibilities, capability quality requirements, and training and development paths, forming a quality model framework covering three levels of elementary, intermediate, and advanced, including 17 key competence items in four dimensions such as professional competence, general competence, professional qualities, and compliance requirements, as well as a hierarchical training system and 33 supporting courses and outlines covering the entire career cycle of investment consultants, providing a reference for securities companies to improve the talent pool of investment consultants. The model is a guiding and universal template, providing a basic methodology and guiding framework, allowing each securities company to apply it locally and make adjustments based on their strategic positioning, client structure, and resource endowment, and adapt to different stages of business development.
