Venezuela appoints new Minister of Defense

On March 18th, local time, the acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodrguez, announced that Gustavo Gonzlez Lpez would replace Padrino Lpez as Minister of Defense. Gustavo Gonzlez Lpez, 66 years old, previously served as the commander of the presidential honor guard and director of the military counterintelligence agency in Venezuela, and has also been Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace.
