Citigroup: European airlines reduce capacity due to Middle East tensions

According to Citigroup's analysis, in order to cope with route disruptions, European airlines have reduced capacity, with the capacity reductions mainly concentrated in the near term. Capacity reductions are concentrated in the Middle East region, although some transatlantic routes have also been affected. Wizz Air is a major force in recent capacity reductions, with its routes in the first quarter reduced by 1.6% compared to initial plans. These analysts suggest that if conflicts continue to result in high fuel costs, the reduction in capacity for summer flights by airlines may increase.
