As market sentiment improved ahead of the interest rate decisions by major central banks on Wednesday and Thursday, UK government bond yields fell along with those of the US and Eurozone. The Federal Reserve's interest rate decision will be announced at 1800 GMT, while the European Central Bank and Bank of England's decisions will be announced on Thursday. Investors expect that these three central banks will keep rates unchanged this week and wait to see how they respond to recent energy price increases caused by the Middle East conflict. Tradeweb data shows that the yield on UK 10-year government bonds fell by 4.7 basis points to 4.654%.
