The Russian state nuclear energy company condemned the attack on the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran on the 17th local time and called for the situation to be de-escalated. The CEO of the Russian state nuclear energy company, Alexey Likhachev, strongly condemned the attack in a statement and urged all parties involved in the conflict to "exert all efforts" to cool down the situation around the Bushehr nuclear power plant. The statement said that a building near the Bushehr nuclear power plant was attacked, with the location being "extremely close" to the operating nuclear power unit. Currently, the radiation levels around the Bushehr nuclear power plant are normal.
