The State Administration for Market Regulation recently announced that the mandatory national standard "Energy Efficiency Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for LED Products for Indoor Lighting" has been officially released, and will be officially implemented from September 1, 2027. The new mandatory national standard for energy efficiency of indoor lighting products has been revised and upgraded in three main aspects. Firstly, the product coverage range has been significantly expanded, with small beam angle LED spotlights, LED high bay lights, retrofit double-ended LED lamps, and LED indoor lighting products with dimming, color adjustment, and other additional functions included in the energy efficiency standard system. This not only focuses on energy saving for basic lighting products, but also restricts the energy efficiency of emerging hot products like smart lighting, improving the basis for energy efficiency regulation of products. Secondly, the energy efficiency index requirements have been scientifically improved, with standards set based on product characteristics and application scenarios. On the foundation of moderately increasing the 3-level energy efficiency access threshold, the technical requirements for 2-level energy-saving products have been further enhanced, increasing the differentiation of high efficiency products. Meanwhile, energy efficiency corrections have been provided for high-end products such as high color rendering, anti-glare, and intelligent control, ensuring both energy saving and good lighting quality. Thirdly, the relevant performance indicators have been optimized reasonably, with added standby power consumption requirements to reduce the "invisible" energy waste of products in non-working states, promoting lighting energy efficiency from "operating efficiency" to "all-time efficiency" extension. The new national standard is based on the development of the domestic lighting industry and market, while also drawing on international experience for updates and upgrades, which will effectively promote the high-quality development and green low-carbon transformation of the lighting industry.
