According to the Hunan Daily, on March 17th, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Shen Xiaoming, presided over the first meeting of the 2026 Chang-Zhu-Tan integrated development leadership group, the provincial culture and technology integration development leadership group, and the provincial Party Committee regional coordinated development leadership group. The meeting pointed out that efforts should be made in planning connection, further clarify ideas and goals, prepare and implement the "Fifteen Five" Chang-Zhu-Tan integrated development plan with high quality, and promote the integration to a new level. Efforts should be made in promoting connectivity to ensure the three cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan have a complete and interconnected transportation infrastructure, allowing the public to share more benefits of integrated development. Efforts should be made in industrial synergy, optimizing the industrial positioning and division of labor among the three cities, accelerating the establishment of an operational industrial transfer and reception benefit-sharing mechanism. Efforts should be made in reform and innovation, advancing the comprehensive reform pilot of market-oriented allocation of factors, and striving to achieve more landmark results. Efforts should be made in green transformation, utilizing spatial resources well, enhancing the introduction of green industry projects, and promoting the ecological value preservation and appreciation of Chang-Zhu-Tan. Efforts should be made in co-building and sharing, optimizing the layout of public services such as education, medical care, and culture according to population trends, taking the opportunity of hosting the 16th National Games to increase urban renewal efforts and enhance the urban level of Chang-Zhu-Tan.
