According to sources familiar with the matter, Unilever is in the early stages of considering divesting its food assets. The company is seeking to further streamline its expanding product portfolio. The British-Dutch consumer goods group is in discussions with advisors on future development plans, including the potential divestment of a significant portion or all of its food business. Some sources indicate that the group is currently in the preliminary evaluation stage, considering possibilities such as a complete divestment or retaining certain well-known brands while divesting other businesses, but a deal may not be reached by Unilever before 2027. This transaction could value Unilever's food business at several billion dollars.
