In order to further rectify the chaos of AI technology abuse and effectively maintain a clean network environment, promote the healthy development of artificial intelligence technology, the Beijing Municipal Cyberspace Administration has launched a one-month special action called "Clean Jinghua, AI for Good". This special action focuses on rectifying five prominent issues: Firstly, harshly cracking down on the use of AI to generate synthetic pornographic and vulgar information. The focus is on rectifying the illegal and irregular dissemination of pornographic and vulgar, violent and bloody content generated using AI, which harms the physical and mental health of minors, maliciously promoting applications that use AI to "undress", and the sale of illegal services of AI "undressing". Secondly, resolutely rectifying the use of AI to generate false infringement information. The focus is on rectifying the unauthorized use of face-swapping, voice synthesis, deepfake technology to impersonate public figures such as athletes, actors, hosts, and entrepreneurs for commercial marketing, advertising and other illegal activities. Thirdly, resolutely cracking down on the dissemination of false rumors using AI. The focus is on rectifying the manipulation, fabrication and dissemination of false information related to current affairs, public welfare, disasters, emergencies etc. by using AI technology, including fabricating on hot events, falsifying scenes and official reports, and maliciously hyping up false information. Fourthly, strictly rectifying the sale and teaching of "AI-removal" behaviors. The focus is on rectifying the sale and teaching of tools, software, tutorials and services for removing, tampering and hiding AI labels through channels such as e-commerce platforms, social platforms, forums, online storage groups, etc., all for the purpose of profit. Fifthly, supervising platforms to strengthen their capabilities in identifying, reviewing and disposing of AI-generated synthetic content. Urging websites and platforms to effectively fulfill their responsibilities, improve their abilities in monitoring, recognizing, tracing and promptly disposing of AI-generated synthetic content.
