Recently, the case of Jiang Shujie, former Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Chengtou Limited Company, suspected of bribery, was investigated and concluded by the Shanghai Municipal Supervisory Committee, and transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. Upon assignment by the Shanghai People's Procuratorate, the Second Branch of the Shanghai People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution with the Shanghai Second Intermediate People's Court in accordance with the law. The case is still under further processing. During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorate informed the defendant Jiang Shujie of his litigation rights in accordance with the law, questioned the defendant, and heard the opinions of the defense lawyer. The Second Branch of the Shanghai People's Procuratorate accuses: From 2003 to 2025, the defendant Jiang Shujie successively used his convenience in positions such as General Manager of the former Shanghai Second Construction Co., Assistant General Manager of the Shanghai Construction Group, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction and Transportation Committee, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction and Management Commission, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Management Committee, and Chairman of Shanghai Chengtou Limited Company, to accept requests from other units or individuals. He provided assistance to the relevant units and individuals in undertaking construction projects and coordinating project progress, illegally accepting a particularly large amount of money and should be held criminally responsible for bribery according to law.
