Tesla and LG Energy have signed a supply agreement to build a $4.3 billion lithium iron phosphate battery manufacturing plant in Lansing, Michigan. The batteries manufactured will be used for Tesla's Megapack 3 energy storage systems produced in Houston, with production expected to start in 2027.
