NXP and NVIDIA join forces to launch innovative solutions for advanced physical AI.
On March 17, NXP Semiconductors announced the launch of an innovative robot solution aimed at providing reliable, secure real-time data processing and transmission, as well as advanced networking capabilities to support sensor fusion, machine vision, and precise motor control. The solution, developed jointly by NXP and NVIDIA, combines NVIDIA's Holoscan Sensor Bridge with NXP's highly integrated system-on-chip to reduce the number of discrete components, significantly decrease space utilization, lower power consumption and costs, and simplify the software complexity of robot perception and execution. According to reports, the solution focuses on a low-latency direct transmission path between the robot body and the "brain" to achieve secure and reliable real-time communication. NXP stated that by combining their expertise in edge processing, functional safety, and real-time control with NVIDIA's robot platform, it will help lower the barriers to developing physical AI and accelerate ecosystem development. The related solution is expected to be launched in the first half of 2026.
