Today, the reporter learned from the National Fire Rescue Bureau that in the 280,000 residential fires that occurred in 2025, 44% were caused by electrical faults. In terms of the location where the fires started, the kitchen and bedroom accounted for nearly half, with the kitchen at 32.5% and the bedroom at 17%. Among the reasons for fatalities caused by fires, 65.1% were due to suffocation and poisoning. The fire department reminds people to timely replace aging electrical wiring, eliminate indoor charging, clear hallway clutter, and install early detection alarm systems as key measures to protect home safety.
