The inauguration ceremony of the 2026 Sui-Hong Spring Tea and the first Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce jointly organized by the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association, Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, and Guangzhou General Chamber of Commerce was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Participants expressed their commitment to promoting deep cooperation between Sui and Hong Kong to jointly promote the integrated development of the Bay Area. Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam stated on the 16th that the SAR government is actively formulating the first "Hong Kong Five-Year Plan," outlining the development vision, core goals, and major initiatives for the next five years from a macro, strategic, and forward-looking perspective to provide clear guidance for the socio-economic and livelihood development. Hong Kong has actively participated in and promoted the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other national strategies, leveraging Hong Kong's strengths to contribute to the country's needs. In the "2025 Global Innovation Index," the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou" cluster ranks first in the world's top 100 innovation clusters, fully demonstrating the international competitiveness of the three cities with complementary strengths.
