British Prime Minister Stammer announced on March 16th that a total of 53 million pounds in "emergency assistance" will be provided to vulnerable households in rural areas of the UK who rely on fuel for heating. Following the outbreak of the US-Iran conflict, energy prices in the UK have risen significantly. From February 28th to March 12th, UK natural gas wholesale prices rose by 67% and oil prices rose by 35%. This price increase has directly raised the energy bills for households in rural areas of the UK that rely on fuel for heating.
