Huang Tian'e Chairman Feng Bin responds to why he feeds chickens with marigold: Naturally makes the eggs look better.
On March 16, Huang Tian'e Chairman Feng Bin responded to the recent questioning of "lutein" in a live stream on the official flagship store video of Huang Tian'e. Feng Bin stated that feeding chrysanthemums to chickens is to naturally make the eggs look better. Prior to this, there were doubts raised online about lutein found in Huang Tian'e eggs. On the evening of March 15, the FeiJi Food Group Co., Ltd., to which Huang Tian'e eggs belong, issued a statement stating that Huang Tian'e eggs do not add artificial synthetic pigments. The lutein content detected in Huang Tian'e eggs is only 0.399mg/kg, much lower than other test results. This value belongs to the natural lutein background level that eggs may contain, rather than being artificially added.
