Nine departments issued documents, making occupational injury prevention a priority for work-related injury insurance.

Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and other nine departments jointly issued the "Five-Year Action Plan for Work-related Injury Prevention," deploying nationwide work-related injury prevention work during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. The Action Plan proposes to prioritize work-related injury prevention as a priority for work-related injury insurance, firmly establish the concept of prevention priority, and through five years of efforts, continuously reduce the incidence of work-related accidents, with a target of reducing around 10% in key industries over 5 years. The incidence of occupational injuries among new forms of employment is gradually reduced, with a target reduction of over 10% in key platform enterprises over 5 years. Working conditions in workplaces are continuously improved, and the number of cases of key occupational diseases such as occupational pneumoconiosis significantly decreases. The Action Plan specifies that work-related injury prevention should be carried out around dangerous chemicals, mining, construction, transportation, machinery manufacturing, instant delivery, and other key industries where work-related accidents and occupational diseases are high. Key personnel in key industry enterprises, including the main responsible person, the person in charge of safety and health management, and the front-line team leader, are targeted. Commuting accidents and sudden death due to illness are considered work-related injuries. Efforts will be made to promote "artificial intelligence + work-related injury prevention," actively leveraging the role of artificial intelligence to enhance the precision and intelligence of prevention. Establishing a comprehensive system of monitoring indicators for work-related accidents, promoting professional construction, leveraging the role of work-related injury insurance premium adjustment, further strengthening the foundation, and improving quality and efficiency.
