Today, the reporter learned from the China Foreign Trade Center that the 139th Canton Fair will open on April 15, 2026, with an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters and 75,500 booths, attracting more than 30,000 companies to exhibit. Among them, the number of brand booth applicants has exceeded 6,000 for the first time, with about 2,770 companies selected for brand booths, representing a growth of 21% and 7% respectively compared to the previous evaluation. The average score for selected companies' R&D innovation projects has increased by 9%, indicating stronger innovation capabilities for the enterprises. This edition of the Canton Fair closely follows the trends of "new, green, and smart", with a total of 54 exhibition zones and 178 special zones. In addition to continuing to set up service robots and smart medical zones, 8 new product zones have been established: Phase 1 includes intelligent wearables, display technology, drones, and agricultural drones. Phase 2 includes bamboo tableware, bamboo home products, integrated houses, and courtyard facilities. Phase 3 includes functional and technological fabrics.
