Dubai International Airport will resume limited flights after the oil tank caught fire following a drone incident.
Emirates Airlines stated that after a drone incident caused Dubai's main international airport to suspend flights for several hours, the company will resume limited flight services. With the Iran conflict entering its third week, this incident has once again hampered efforts to return this aviation hub to normal operations. Emirates Airlines announced that limited flight plans will be implemented after 10 am local time. Due to the flight suspension lasting more than 7 hours, the state-owned airline had to cancel some flights scheduled for the day. This is also the longest suspension since Dubai resumed airport flights through its so-called "safe air corridor" three days after the outbreak of the conflict. As the world's busiest international aviation hub, Dubai has faced a series of attacks and disruptions in flight operations since the outbreak of the war. The Dubai government's media office stated that this is the third related incident confirmed in the past two weeks. An attack on the second day of the conflict caused damage to a waiting area and injured 4 people.
