On March 15, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Le Hoai Trung, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Hanoi. Wang Yi stated that the beginning of the year is crucial, and China visited Vietnam immediately after the conclusion of the two sessions in China, reflecting the high level of China-Vietnam relations. After the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in January, General Secretary Xi Jinping and President of China had timely phone calls with Secretary General Su Lin, unanimously agreeing to hold the first ministerial meeting of the "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism in foreign affairs, national defense, and public security between China and Vietnam, as well as the 17th meeting of the Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee. Following the strategic consensus of the highest leaders of both parties, through these two important meetings, we should delve into coordinating development and security, clarify important measures for following the socialist path, and send a positive signal to the international community of China-Vietnam unity, mutual trust, and moving forward hand in hand.
