"Snow Dragon" begins its return journey, China's 42nd Antarctic expedition is coming to an end.
Today, the Chinese research icebreaker "Xuelong" carrying out the 42nd Antarctic expedition has left Zhongshan Station and begun its return journey. It is expected to arrive in Shanghai in early April. At Zhongshan Station, the research team used the "Snow Eagle 102" helicopter to transport barrelled aviation kerosene and gasoline, food, spare parts, and other supplies from the "Xuelong" to the station area. Additionally, the 93 team members who completed the summer expedition at Zhongshan Station were evacuated back to the "Xuelong" by helicopter, officially embarking on the return journey.
