In 2026, the Central Enterprises Industry Development Work Symposium will be held in Beijing.

On March 13, the autonomous region and the production and construction corps held a symposium on the industrial development of Xinjiang by central enterprises in 2026 with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in Beijing. The meeting discussed the overall plan for the development of industries in Xinjiang, promoting cooperation between the central government and local authorities to a higher level, and better assisting in the construction of socialist modernization in Xinjiang. Before the symposium, the autonomous region and the corps signed cooperation agreements with 18 central enterprises involving 92 projects in areas such as energy, minerals, computing power, and equipment manufacturing, with an expected industrial investment in Xinjiang of about 170 billion yuan.
