UN Secretary-General's spokesperson: The number of displaced persons in Lebanon has exceeded 820,000.

The spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, Dujarric, stated at a routine press briefing that more than 822,000 Lebanese people have registered with the government as displaced persons, including nearly 300,000 children. He also mentioned that the United Nations Secretary-General Guterres, who is currently visiting Lebanon, announced a humanitarian appeal for approximately $300 million, aimed at providing life-saving support to 1 million affected individuals.
