The US military confirms that 4 people have died in the crash of the refueling aircraft.
The US Central Command announced today that 4 people have been confirmed dead on the refueling plane that crashed in Iraq, and the search for the other 2 crew members is still ongoing. The Iraqi militia group "Islamic Resistance Organization" released a statement today claiming responsibility for attacking two US KC-135 aerial refueling planes in western Iraq, one of which was shot down while the other made an emergency landing. The US military stated that this incident "was not caused by enemy fire or friendly fire".
