National Health Insurance Administration: Clinical evidence work for the DRG payment 3.0 version grouping plan is progressing in an orderly manner.

In order to continuously deepen the reform of medical insurance payment methods and improve the technical standards for payment by disease group, starting from July 2025, the National Medical Insurance Administration has initiated the DRG payment version 3.0 grouping adjustment work, steadily promoting the optimization and upgrade of grouping schemes. Currently, the first phase of clinical validation has been completed, and all work is progressing in an orderly manner. Next, the National Medical Insurance Administration will actively disclose the relevant information of the first phase of clinical validation to the public, invite representatives from some medical institutions and experts to discuss the progress of the 3.0 version of grouping adjustment work. Subsequently, the second phase of clinical validation will be initiated to reevaluate opinions that have not reached a consensus, maximally reflecting the role of medical insurance payment in respecting clinical practices, serving clinical practices, and guiding clinical practices.
