The U.S. International Trade Commission issued a statement on March 12 stating that the import of active anode materials from China did not pose a substantial obstacle to the establishment of relevant industries in the United States. The statement said that based on the Commission's aforementioned negative ruling, the U.S. Department of Commerce will not issue anti-dumping or countervailing duty orders against such Chinese imports. Earlier, on February 11, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a final affirmative anti-dumping determination on active anode materials imported from China, with dumping margins of 93.50% for individually examined Chinese producers/exporters and a country-wide rate of 102.72% for China. It also made a final affirmative countervailing duty determination on the Chinese products involved, with subsidy rates of 66.82%-66.86%.
