Compared with the same period last year, the tax-free shopping amount on Hainan's outlying islands during the Spring Festival travel rush increased by nearly 40%, reaching nearly 7.5 billion yuan.

According to statistics from Haikou Customs, during the 2026 Spring Festival travel period, Haikou Customs supervised a total of 7.49 billion yuan in duty-free shopping on outlying islands, an increase of 39.8% compared to the previous year; the number of shoppers was 937,000, an increase of 30.5% year-on-year.
