The soaring fuel prices severely damage travel New Zealand airline will reduce the number of flights.
New Zealand Airlines said on Thursday that due to the Iran conflict, fuel prices have soared, affecting travel even to rural areas thousands of miles away from the conflict zone. The company will therefore cut 5% of its flights, approximately 1100 flights, by early May. This week, New Zealand Airlines also announced an increase in ticket prices, following the lead of other airlines such as Qantas in Australia, SAS in Scandinavia, and Thai Airways, attributing the sudden surge in fuel costs as the reason, which has caused turbulence in the global aviation industry.
