The State Council Food Safety Office will accelerate the improvement of the regulatory standards system this year, promote the comprehensive revision of the Food Safety Law, and speed up the revision of standards related to pre-packaged meals, residues of agricultural and veterinary drugs, and cold chain transportation in order to establish clear and enforceable regulations. They will strengthen inter-departmental consultation, joint inspections, and joint law enforcement mechanisms, and carry out regular targeted clean-up operations in key areas and species such as school food safety, "ghost takeout", and abuse of food additives in response to strong public feedback. They will continue to enhance supervision in key areas such as edible agricultural products, food storage and transportation, online sales, and imported food, strictly crackdown on illegal activities, and create a high-pressure situation of "cracking down on violations promptly and imposing severe punishment". In terms of school food safety, they will continue to deepen the construction of "Internet + transparent kitchens", improve the mechanism for centralized procurement of school food materials, strengthen regular joint inspections, and prevent unqualified ingredients from entering schools. The State Council Food Safety Office will establish a team of inspection "blue troops" to focus on urgent issues that concern the people, enhance the targeted nature of supervision and inspections, precisely identify hidden risks, and prevent problems before they occur.
