A landslide in southern Ethiopia resulted in the deaths of 30 people.

According to a statement released by the government of Gamo Zone in the Southern Region of Ethiopia on the 10th, due to continuous rainfall, a landslide occurred in the area on the night of the 10th, resulting in 30 deaths and multiple injuries. The Governor of the Southern Region, Kebbede, stated on social media on the 10th that as it is currently the rainy season, such disasters could happen again, and residents living in affected areas should take necessary precautions. The government will provide necessary support to those affected by the disaster. Ethiopia is currently in the rainy season. Continuous rainfall is the main cause of landslides in some areas of the country.
