This year, Beijing will promote the launch of the 3.0 plan for comprehensive demonstration zones for expanding the opening up of the service industry.
This year's government work report further clarifies "expanding market access with a focus on the service industry", pressing the accelerator for a new round of opening up in Beijing. In the first batch of pilot projects to expand opening up in value-added telecommunications, medical and other fields nationwide, Beijing became the first in the country to establish the first foreign-invested enterprise in human gene diagnosis and treatment technology. Up to now, more than 60 foreign-funded enterprises have participated in the pilot projects. Last year, Beijing established over 2,400 new foreign-funded enterprises, reaching a historical high. According to the Municipal Commerce Bureau, this year, efforts will be made to promote the introduction of the 3.0 plan for comprehensive demonstration zones for expanding open services, implement actions to enhance the opening levels of key parks, promote the differentiated development of comprehensive bonded areas, actively align with international high-standard economic and trade rules, and inject new impetus for higher-level opening up.
