Zelensky said that Ukraine is sending military personnel to the Gulf region.
Ukrainian President Zelensky said on the 10th that Ukraine has dispatched a team including military personnel to assist Gulf countries in air defense. Zelensky said in a nighttime video speech that the Ukrainian team, including the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Umelov and military personnel, is heading to the Gulf region to assist in protecting local people's safety and stabilizing the situation. He emphasized that countries seeking assistance from Ukraine should assist Ukraine in defense, with the primary task being to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities. Earlier that day, Zelensky said that Ukraine has experience in dealing with drone attacks, and Ukraine has sent three teams of drone experts to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia to share their experience in intercepting drones with these countries. The expert teams are expected to arrive in their destination countries this week. Zelensky said in an interview with an Italian broadcasting company last week that Ukraine is willing to cooperate with Middle Eastern partners to exchange low-cost intercept drones produced by Ukraine for "Patriot" air defense missiles. The United States and Israel launched a large-scale military strike against Iran on February 28, and Iran retaliated with ballistic missiles and drones against Israeli and American military bases and other targets in the Middle East, affecting some Middle Eastern countries.
