Sino-North Korea international passenger trains will operate in both directions starting from March 12th.

Starting from March 12, 2026, China and North Korea will operate international passenger trains between Beijing and Pyongyang, as well as between Dandong and Pyongyang. This will further promote the exchange of people, economic cooperation, and cultural exchanges between China and North Korea, and enhance the well-being and friendship of the people of both countries. The international passenger trains between Beijing and Pyongyang will run bi-directionally on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Passengers can board the trains at Beijing Station, Tianjin Station, Shanhaiguan Station, Shenyang Station, Dandong Station in China, as well as Pyongyang Station and Sinuiju Station in North Korea. Immigration procedures can be carried out at the Dandong border in China and Sinuiju border in North Korea. For the Beijing-Pyongyang route, two additional carriages will be attached to the K27 train departing from Beijing at 17:26. After arriving at Dandong Station, the carriages will be attached to the 95 train and continue to Pyongyang, arriving at Pyongyang Station at 18:07 the next day local time. For the Pyongyang-Beijing route, two additional carriages will be attached to the 51 train departing from Pyongyang at 10:26 local time. After arriving at Sinuiju Station, the train will change to the 85 train and continue to Dandong Station, where the carriages will be attached to the K28 train heading to Beijing, arriving at Beijing Station at 8:40 the next day Beijing time. The international passenger trains between Dandong and Pyongyang will run bi-directionally daily. For the Dandong-Pyongyang route, the 95 train will depart from Dandong Station at 10:00 Beijing time, change to the 52 train at Sinuiju Station, and arrive at Pyongyang Station at 18:07 local time. For the Pyongyang-Dandong route, the 51 train will depart from Pyongyang at 10:26 local time, change to the 85 train at Sinuiju Station, and arrive at Dandong Station at 16:23 Beijing time.
