Sai Microelectronics: Risk production or mass production of MEMS-MicroLED has not yet been achieved

On March 10th, SMI Electronics stated on its interactive platform that the Swedish production line in which the company holds equity has previously provided customers with OCS and Micro-LED manufacturing services, which are used in the fields of optical communication and AR/VR display. The domestically controlled production line has not yet achieved risk trial production or mass production of MEMS-MicroLED. MEMS-MicroLED is a fusion technology solution that combines MEMS and Micro LED display technologies, with the core being the attempt to use MEMS microstructures to achieve dynamic control, high efficiency coupling, and integrated packaging of Micro LED, in order to solve the related issues of traditional Micro LED such as massive transfer, optical efficiency, and heat dissipation. AR/VR display and optical communication can both be application directions for MEMS-MicroLED, depending on the maturity of the process and the progress of commercialization in the industry.
