The number of female fund managers has increased to 1,110, accounting for more than half of the total fund managers.
As International Women's Day approaches, the group of female fund managers in the public offering industry is once again in the spotlight. According to Wind data, as of March 6, 2026, there are a total of 1110 female fund managers in the public offering industry, an increase of 22 from the same period last year, accounting for approximately 26.75% of all fund managers. In terms of scale, based on the AUM under management, the funds managed by female fund managers have reached 18.95 trillion yuan, accounting for 51.06% of the total industry AUM, with female fund managers managing funds totaling 6.83 trillion yuan individually.
In terms of performance, among the funds managed by female fund managers, a total of 3721 funds achieved positive returns in the past year, accounting for approximately 83.35%, with 129 funds recording a return rate of over 50%, and 20 funds doubling in value. Overall, female fund managers have formed a relatively complete talent pool in both equity and fixed income sectors.
