OpenAI's annual revenue exceeds 25 billion dollars, Anthropic closing the gap.

Insiders revealed that as of last month, OpenAI's annualized revenue has surpassed $25 billion. This figure represents a 17% growth in annualized revenue compared to the company's $21.4 billion at the end of last year. OpenAI's revenue is still higher than its competitor Anthropic, but the gap between the two giants is narrowing: Anthropic's annualized revenue recently surpassed $19 billion, doubling from the end of last year, and increasing by 36% compared to two weeks ago. OpenAI calculates annualized revenue by multiplying the income of the past four weeks by 12. If OpenAI were to calculate this metric based only on the peak income of the last week, its annualized revenue would be around $30 billion. Recently, Anthropic's success in selling AI models for processing encoding tasks has helped rapidly narrow the income gap with OpenAI.
