The newly appointed director of China Merchants Group, Li Yongming, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Group's Party Committee.

According to the official website of China Merchants Group Limited, on March 6, China Merchants Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University in Beijing. The Secretary and Chairman of the Party Committee of China Merchants Group, Miao Jianmin, held talks with the Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qiu Yong, and witnessed the signing of the agreement by both parties. The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of China Merchants Group, Li Yongming, and the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, Guo Yong, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. This also means that Li Yongming, who previously served as Deputy General Manager and Party Group member of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, and Vice President of China State Construction Corporation Limited, has now taken office as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of China Merchants Group.
