At the press conference on people's livelihood themes, Li Haichao, director of the National Health Commission, introduced: According to professional advice, people over 50 years old, long-term smokers, those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a family history of lung cancer, and other high-risk groups can undergo a low-dose spiral CT scan once a year; people over 50 years old, overweight, with a history of smoking or a family history of colorectal cancer, should undergo a colonoscopy or fecal occult blood test every 3 to 5 years; people over 45 years old, heavy drinkers, suffering from gastric ulcers, or with a family history of gastric cancer, should undergo a gastroscopy every 3 to 5 years; women of suitable age over 35 years old should undergo a breast cancer screening every 2 to 3 years, high-risk groups with a family history of breast cancer or ovarian cancer can increase the frequency of screening. Cancer is not scary, the key is prevention and early detection and treatment. We will increase the effort in early cancer screening and provide convenient and accessible services to everyone.
