Due to the natural gas supply crisis, the capital of Peru will implement emergency control measures.
On March 6th local time, due to a natural gas pipeline rupture in Cusco Province, Peru's national compressed natural gas supply has plunged into a serious crisis. Peruvian Prime Minister Dennis Miraies officially announced that starting from March 9th, the capital Lima and the Callao region will implement emergency energy conservation measures for one week. According to the announcement, all public and private primary and secondary schools and universities in the area will switch to online teaching; the public sector will enforce work-from-home policies, and private enterprises are urged to arrange for employees to take early vacations to reduce energy consumption.
