Analyst: Positive demand signals in Mexico by the end of 2025.
The domestic demand in Mexico showed a positive performance at the end of 2025, with household consumption in December increasing by 1.2% after seasonal adjustment compared to November, mainly driven by the consumption of imported goods, while fixed investment grew by 0.5%. For the whole year of 2025, unadjusted household consumption increased by 1.1%, while investment decreased by 6.7%. Analysts at Monex, Janneth Quiroz and Rosa Rubio Kantn, stated in a report that these results indicate a moderate domestic demand in the short term. They also noted that the economic growth in 2026 will largely depend on the sustained improvement in productive investment and the strengthening of domestic consumption.
